Description
The Kuriyama Tigerflex Blue Water BW Series is a low-temperature PVC suction hose engineered for water suction, irrigation pumping, trash pumps, dewatering, and other demanding water-transfer applications. Its specialized Cold-Flex construction is designed to maintain flexibility in extreme cold, making Blue Water an excellent choice for agricultural and outdoor pumping applications where conventional PVC hose can become increasingly stiff as temperatures drop.
Blue Water hose is constructed with a durable PVC tube and rigid PVC helix. The rigid helix provides structural support to resist collapse under vacuum, while the flexible PVC construction makes the hose easier to position around pumps and other equipment. Kuriyama rates the hose for an application-dependent service temperature range of -40°F to +150°F (-40°C to +65°C).
The hose’s transparent construction allows operators to visually monitor water flow through the line. This can be particularly useful around irrigation pumps and dewatering equipment because it provides quick visual confirmation of flow and can help identify air pockets or interruptions in the suction line.
Sizes 1″ through 4″ feature a smooth outer cover, providing a smooth surface for banding and increased pressure capability.
