3/4″ Venturi Fertilizer Injector Assembly includes a Venturi injector, a suction line kit (a piece of water tube, a flow controller and a filter) and the fittings required to convert it to 3/4″ MHT x 3/4″ FHT to enable easy connection to a 3/4″ garden hose.
This assembly can be used with our Gator 250 and Gator 1000 Drip Irrigation Kits. The Gator 100 is not large enough to enable the injector to work properly. We recommend a minimum flow rate of 1.5 gallons per minute.
This kit now includes an atmospheric vacuum breaker, to prevent any potential backflow of fertilizer
A 3/4″ Venturi Fertilizer Injector Assembly is a device used in irrigation systems to introduce fertilizers or other soluble chemicals into the water supply efficiently. Utilizing the Venturi effect, it creates a vacuum that draws the fertilizer solution into the irrigation line, allowing for uniform distribution to plants.
Key Features:
Venturi Injector: Operates on the principle of pressure differential, where water flow through a constricted section of the injector generates a vacuum, enabling the suction of fertilizer into the water stream.
Suction Line Kit: Includes components such as a water tube, flow controller, and filter to facilitate the precise and clean introduction of fertilizers.
Threaded Connections: Equipped with 3/4″ Male Hose Thread (MHT) and 3/4″ Female Hose Thread (FHT) fittings, allowing easy integration with standard garden hoses.
Backflow Prevention: Some assemblies come with an atmospheric vacuum breaker to prevent potential backflow of fertilizer into the main water supply, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
Applications:
Fertigation: Efficiently delivers liquid fertilizers through drip or sprinkler irrigation systems, promoting uniform nutrient distribution and improved plant growth.
Chemigation: Allows for the application of water-soluble pesticides or other chemicals, aiding in pest control and disease management within crops.
Benefits:
Cost-Effective: Venturi injectors are generally more affordable compared to other injection systems, making them accessible for various scales of farming operations.
Energy Efficient: Operates without the need for an external power source, as it relies on the existing water pressure within the irrigation system.
Easy Installation and Use: The assembly’s design facilitates straightforward setup and operation, integrating seamlessly with existing irrigation infrastructure.
Considerations:
Pressure Requirements: Adequate water pressure is necessary for optimal operation; insufficient pressure may result in reduced suction efficiency.
Flow Rate Compatibility: Ensure that the injector’s flow rate aligns with the irrigation system’s specifications to maintain uniform chemical distribution.
Maintenance: Regular cleaning of the injector and filter components is essential to prevent clogging and ensure consistent performance.
In summary, the 3/4″ Venturi Fertilizer Injector Assembly is a practical tool for integrating fertigation and chemigation into irrigation systems, enhancing nutrient delivery and overall crop health.
Fertilizer injectors are a fast and simple way to feed an entire garden, landscape, nursery or greenhouse. This style of Venturi fertilizer injector is to be installed directly into your irrigation line.
What is a Venturi Fertilizer Injectors?
A venturi is a device which creates a vacuum when fluid flows through it. The fluid which creates the vacuum is know as the motive fluid. The motive fluid for irrigation injectors is the irrigation water itself. Vacuum created by the venturi sucks fertilizer or chemical into motive water.
How to work a Venturi?
This Venturi is water driven, for example, it is driven by the pressure of the main irrigation line. The energy to run these devices reduces the irrigation water pressure of the water line.
Applications:
Fertilizer and chemical injection through drip and sprinkler irrigation systems.
