Description

In irrigation, a 90 Degree Elbow – Socket x Socket is a PVC or metal pipe fitting that changes the direction of flow by 90 degrees while connecting two pipes with socket (slip) ends.

What It Does:

  • Joins two straight pipe sections at a right angle (L-shape).

  • Both ends are socket connections, meaning pipes are glued or solvent-welded into the fitting.

Common Uses in Irrigation:

  • Redirecting water flow around corners in above-ground or buried pipelines.

  • Used in pump stations, filter banks, valve assemblies, and field layouts.

  • Helps in tight or compact installations where a turn is required without kinking a hose.

Benefits:

  • Creates a strong, leak-resistant joint.

  • Easy to install with primer and cement (for PVC).

  • Available in various pressure ratings and diameters.
