Structure and Function:

• Disc Design: The butterfly valve disc is a circular, flat or slightly contoured piece that pivots within the valve body to control the flow of liquid. When the disc is rotated, it either allows fluid to pass through or blocks the flow, depending on the angle.
• Inline Valve Configuration: As part of an inline valve, the disc is positioned within the flow path of the pipeline. When fully open, the disc aligns with the pipe, allowing maximum flow. When closed, the disc turns perpendicular to the flow, sealing the valve and stopping the fluid.
• Quarter-Turn Operation: Butterfly valves, including the inline type, are operated with a quarter-turn mechanism. Turning the handle or actuator 90 degrees rotates the disc from a fully open to a fully closed position.

Applications in Irrigation and Plumbing:
